“I’m proud to design and oversee the production of every mattress and divan bed we manufacture. My goal is simple—create exceptional comfort and lasting support by using only the highest-grade organic, natural, and chemical-free materials. I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to sleep on a mattress that is healthy, sustainable, and truly supportive, without an unreasonable price tag. We don’t cut corners. We don’t mass-produce. We build quality you can feel, night after night.” — Stephen
Below, Stephen answers some of the questions we receive most often, helping you understand the care, engineering, and passion woven into our entire range.
Q1: What’s the best way to choose the firmness of my mattress?
A. Stephen says:
“This is probably the most common question we’re asked every day. The first thing to consider is how you sleep at night. Are you mainly a back sleeper, a side sleeper, or do you prefer sleeping on your front?
Unless you are a constant back sleeper who genuinely prefers a very firm surface, it’s usually best to avoid a firm mattress. A firm mattress can feel too hard on your shoulders and hips, especially if you sleep on your side, as it doesn’t allow the body to sink comfortably into alignment.
So, as a guide:
Firm – best suited for dedicated back sleepers who like strong, solid support.
Medium – ideal if you enjoy a slightly softer, more cushioned feel with gentle contouring.
Medium/Firm – perfect if you prefer a little more support than medium, without losing comfort.
And remember—choosing online can feel uncertain, but there’s no need to worry. If you don’t get it right the first time, we offer a full 100-night trial, giving you complete peace of mind to exchange firmness if needed.”
Q2: Does the number of individual pocket springs affect the firmness of the mattress?
A. Stephen says:
“No — although many people assume it does, the number of pocket springs does not determine firmness. Firmness is actually controlled by the tension of the springs themselves. In other words, it’s the strength and resistance of each individual spring that decides whether a mattress feels firm, medium, or medium/firm.
What a higher spring count does provide is greater support and more precise body contouring, because the springs can respond more accurately to your body’s shape and weight. So, more springs means enhanced support and comfort — not increased firmness.”
Q3: What are the benefits of natural and chemical-free fillings in a mattress?
A. Stephen says:
“The benefits of choosing a mattress made with natural and chemical-free materials are significant, both for your health and for long-term comfort. Natural fibres such as organic wool, cotton, and silk are breathable, temperature-regulating, and incredibly durable. They help keep you cool in summer, warm in winter, and comfortable all night long by allowing air to move freely through the mattress.
Because we don’t use harsh chemicals, fire-retardant sprays, synthetic foams, or chemically infused gels, our mattresses are naturally hypoallergenic and far healthier for people with allergies or sensitivity concerns. They also create a fresher, cleaner sleeping environment — without that synthetic smell or heat build-up.
And when you think about it, why would you want to spend eight hours every night lying on synthetic materials and chemically infused gels? Natural and organic fillings offer a more supportive, responsive feel and they maintain their comfort and structure for many years.”
“Put simply — natural, organic, and chemical-free is better for your body, better for your sleep, and better for the planet.”
Q4: How long will my mattress last?
A. Stephen says:
“All of our mattresses are built to a very high standard using premium natural materials and handcrafted construction techniques. Because of this, every mattress comes with a 10-year guarantee for complete peace of mind.
However, with normal care and regular rotation, our mattresses are designed to last significantly longer. In fact, many of our customers enjoy theirs for up to 15 years or more. Natural fibres are incredibly resilient and maintain their structure far better than synthetic foams, which tend to break down more quickly.
So, while you’re fully covered for 10 years, you can realistically expect many years of exceptional comfort and support beyond that.”
Q5: Why don’t you offer showrooms?
A. Stephen says:
“To be honest and straightforward, showrooms are extremely expensive to run, and those costs have to be added to the price of the mattress. That’s one of the reasons you often see organic and natural mattresses sold in showrooms at much higher prices. Our mission is simple: everyone should have the opportunity to own an organic, natural, chemical-free mattress at an affordable price. So why should customers have to pay for the cost of showrooms in the price of their mattress? Surely it’s the mattress itself you want to pay for— not the showroom.”
“Secondly, the reality is that you can’t sleep on a mattress for a week in a showroom. You may lie on it for 5 or 10 minutes, but that’s not enough time to truly understand if it’s right for your body. To properly evaluate a mattress, you need to sleep on it for a meaningful period of time. That’s why we believe customers are far better supported with our 100-night trial, giving you the freedom to test your mattress in your own home, in real sleeping conditions — not under bright lights in a showroom.”
Q6: What’s the difference between Organic Egyptian Cotton and Suvin Gold Cotton?
A. Stephen says:
“Both Organic Egyptian Cotton and Organic Suvin Gold Cotton are exceptional, high-quality natural fibres — but there are some key differences between them that are worth understanding when choosing what you sleep on.”
“Organic Egyptian Cotton is extremely well-known for its long, fine fibres, which create a beautifully soft, smooth and breathable fabric. It’s strong, durable and offers excellent temperature regulation, helping to keep you cool in summer and warm in winter. It’s a premium, reliable cotton and a fantastic choice for luxury bedding and mattress fabrics.”
“Suvin Gold Cotton, on the other hand, is even rarer and considered one of the finest cottons in the world. It has ultra-long, silky fibres that give an incredibly soft, almost cashmere-like feel with a gentle natural sheen. It’s lighter, even more breathable and offers a superior level of comfort and softness — perfect for customers who want the very highest level of luxury. Our Suvin Gold also comes in a beautiful herringbone weave, which adds strength, elegant structure, and a refined luxury finish.”
“So, in simple terms, Egyptian Cotton is premium and wonderfully comfortable. Suvin Gold is the absolute pinnacle of luxury and softness. Both are natural, breathable, and chemical-free — but Suvin Gold sits above Egyptian Cotton in terms of rarity, feel and finish.”
Q7: What’s the difference between a 100% Organic mattress and a Natural mattress?
A. Stephen says:
“This is a great question, and it’s something many customers understandably find confusing. The difference between a 100% Organic mattress and a Natural mattress mainly comes down to certification and traceability — not necessarily comfort or performance.”
“A 100% Organic mattress is made using materials that are fully certified organic, meaning they are grown, processed, and manufactured under strict global standards with complete verification at every stage. All of the organic wool we use is British sheep’s wool and GOTS Certified, ensuring it is ethically sourced, sustainably produced, and entirely chemical-free. Every component — from the organic wool to the organic cotton fabric — is certified from farm to finished product.”
“Our Natural mattresses are also made using high-quality natural fibres and are completely chemical-free, but the materials may not carry full organic certification. They still deliver exceptional comfort, breathability and durability, and some of our natural mattresses are finished in beautiful, breathable linen, one of the oldest and strongest natural fabrics available.”
“So, in simple terms: both choices are natural, breathable and chemical-free. Organic means fully certified and traceable at every stage of production, while Natural means the materials come from nature but without the formal certification. Both offer a healthy, luxurious night’s sleep — it simply depends on how important full traceability and certification are to you.”
Q8: Why don’t you have any sales or promotions?
A. Stephen says:
“With a smile, I always say: ‘Because in 99% of cases, the so-called sale or promotion is made up!’ And I’m being completely serious. I’ve been in the furniture, bed and mattress industry for over 40 years, and I can assure you that most sales are simply marketing tactics designed to create a ‘fear of missing out’ or a sense of urgency.”
“Our ethos is very different. We believe in offering our mattresses at the lowest honest price all year round, without pretending to reduce prices for a weekend, a bank holiday, or a seasonal sale. We cut overheads — not quality. That way, every customer gets the same fair price, every day, with no gimmicks, no inflated RRPs, and no false discounts.”
“Put simply: we’d rather sell exceptional products at a genuine, affordable price than play pricing games. Quality stays high, prices stay fair — all year round.”
Q9: How far do you deliver?
A. Stephen says:
“We deliver much farther than most people expect. We cover the UK, Spain, France, Portugal, Switzerland, Dubai and Ukraine through our international operations — and we can supply to many other countries upon request. And when it comes to the UK, there’s not a part of the country we can’t reach!”
“If you require delivery to any other country, just ask. We’ll always point you in the right direction and ensure you’re supported wherever you are in the world.”
Q10: What’s the best way to communicate with you?
A. Stephen says:
“You’ve got plenty of choices — email, live chat, and of course, the good old-fashioned telephone! We’re happy to communicate in whatever way suits you best.”
“That said, we genuinely love speaking with our customers personally. Talking about mattresses and beds is my passion, and I honestly don’t think anything beats a proper conversation, even in today’s high-tech world.”
“So if you’d like advice or want to discuss your requirements, just give us a call anytime on 0117 427 1243. We’d be delighted to chat and help you choose the perfect mattress.”
Q11: Are the animals properly cared for, the ones the wool comes from?
A. Stephen says:
“Absolutely. We’re animal lovers ourselves, and we only source wool from reputable, ethical suppliers who put animal welfare first. The sheep and alpacas are extremely well cared for — in truth, they’re pampered — and they’re simply reared for their ‘haircuts’ every so often! No harm comes to them whatsoever.”
“In fact, my godson Dean runs a wonderful organic farm in Wales, where you can even visit the animals yourself. If you’d like a day out, just search for Celtic Roots Farm & Gardens, Pendoylan, Cowbridge, South Wales. Families love it, and the kids especially enjoy stroking and feeding the alpacas.”
“And looking ahead, in 2026 we’re planning to place a small showroom there too, so customers can see our mattresses in a beautiful, natural setting.”![]()

Q13: Why do your prices appear so reasonable?
A. Stephen says:
“It’s a good question, because while our prices are reasonable, our mattresses are certainly not ‘cheap.’ With the organic and natural materials we use, it would be impossible to produce a high-quality mattress at a cheap price — and we will never cut corners on quality.”
“What we do cut are the overheads. We avoid unnecessary expenses like costly marketing campaigns and expensive showrooms. We buy our materials in volume, we source intelligently, and we operate efficiently. All of this allows us to keep prices fair without ever compromising the build quality or the materials that go into every mattress.”
“Our mission is simple: everyone should be able to afford a high-quality organic or natural mattress. People deserve to sleep on clean, chemical-free materials — not the foam, polyesters, gels and other ‘rubbish’ that flood the marketplace. So, in simple terms: we cut overheads, not quality.”
Q14: What mattress do you personally sleep on?
A. Stephen says:
“I sleep on the Ultra 6000 Organic Suvin Gold model in a medium firmness. It’s my absolute favourite, and I recommend it to everyone. The combination of organic materials, Suvin Gold cotton, and precision support makes it luxury at its finest.” We have now brought out the 10,000 version, but there's no point in changing to be honest for a few years yet!
Q15: Do you supply hotels?
A. Stephen says:
“Yes, we certainly do. Hotels across Europe are furnished with our organic and natural mattresses, giving their guests a truly comfortable and restorative night’s sleep during their stay. If you’re a hotel owner and would like to discuss options, you’re very welcome to call us anytime.”
A Final Note from Stephen
“Our mission is very simple: to produce and supply every customer with a high-quality organic or natural mattress at an affordable price. We genuinely believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to sleep on a clean, healthy, chemical-free mattress — not just a select few. That belief drives everything we do, from the materials we choose to the way we price our products.”
“Thank you for considering us. We look forward to hearing from you and helping you find the perfect mattress for a truly restful night’s sleep.”
