A Personal Commitment from Stephen 

Over 25 years ago, I began designing and manufacturing 100% organic mattresses for one very important reason.

Cystic Fibrosis has touched my family personally. Nearly 30 years ago, we sadly lost our daughter to the condition and, some years later, my son George was also born with Cystic Fibrosis.

Having experienced the challenges that many families face when caring for a child with Cystic Fibrosis, I wanted to ensure that George was sleeping on the healthiest mattress possible. At the time, I was not comfortable with many of the synthetic foams, chemicals and treatments being used within the mattress industry, so I set out to create a truly natural alternative.

Today, George is a healthy and active 26-year-old, thanks to the incredible advances in treatment, specialist healthcare professionals, modern medications and the support provided by the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

What started as a father's desire to provide the best possible sleep environment for his son eventually became the foundation of our organic mattress business.

Why We Manufacture Organic Mattresses

Since the beginning, our aim has been simple: to create mattresses using natural materials, without synthetic foams, chemical treatments or unnecessary additives.

Every mattress is handcrafted using carefully selected natural materials to provide a comfortable, supportive and breathable sleeping environment.

More than two decades later, those principles remain unchanged.

Having first-hand experience of raising a child with Cystic Fibrosis, I understand that families often face additional costs associated with treatment, travel, medication and ongoing care.

That is why I decided to offer a free organic mattress to any child suffering with Cystic Fibrosis.

As someone who has lived through the experience myself, I know how important a comfortable and healthy sleeping environment can be.

Supporting Children Undergoing Cancer Treatment

A while ago, a mother contacted us through our website looking for a mattress for her daughter, Natalie.

She wasn't looking for a free mattress. She was simply trying to find the best mattress she could afford while her daughter underwent treatment and regular visits to Alder Hey Children's Hospital. At the same time, Natalie’s mother was recovering from cancer herself.

After hearing their story, I decided to send Natalie one of our Ultra 6000 Organic Mattresses free of charge. There was NO WAY this little warrior was sleeping on anything less!

Since then, Natalie has become our little ambassador.

 Her determination, courage and positive attitude throughout years of treatment and operations have been an inspiration to everyone who knows her.

That experience made me realise there are many other families facing similar challenges and for that reason we set up the 'Natalie Foundation'

Because every child deserves a healthy, comfortable and supportive place to sleep as they battle their brave challenges, whilst hopefully I can take a little pressure off parents too.
